Over the weekend I enjoyed the indie designer showcase, Thread LA, in downtown LA at the Bay Salone Warehouse. The spot was very cool with it’s industrial feel. This show happens once a year and highly recommend those who want to be at the top of their game with new designers to get out and go. In between sipping free cocktails, free manicures, and styling tips, you can scope out the newest jewelry, clothing, shoes, and accessory designers at prices that you can only get that day. Some of my personal favorites were Loulou Bijoux (louloubijoux.com), a witty French jewelry design that makes a beautiful marriage between nuts & bolts, dainty chains, and beautiful French sayings. Tiffany Kunz Design (tiffanykunzdesign.com), a modern line which focuses on rough stones and hammered metals and Rough Roses (roughroses.com), which is an affordable luxury line of handbags, belts, and wallets created from the softest leather and hand crafted hardware.
